UnitingCare Cutting Edge – Shepparton being advertised in July Crosslight. Cutting Edge is a frontline rural support agency working with young people, their families and communities in the Goulburn Valley and is
seeking a Mission Development Leader to implement a drought response programme titled, Local People – Local Solutions in the Goulburn Valley and surrounds. The person appointed will work with communities, schools, local governments, churches and volunteer groups to identify people in need and providing outreach and support as well as connecting the agency with the wider church and facilitating the spiritual life within UnitingCare – Cutting Edge. The second position is located on the edge of Melbourne at Craigieburn & Wallan. The position is full time and titled New Areas Ministry Team. The person would work with existing congregations at Craigieburn and Wallan as a base from which to develop a new church presence in the new housing/community areas around Craigieburn and Wallan. They would be a member of the New Areas Ministry Team and work particularly with the other minister (MOW still to be appointed). They envisage the church becoming an essential part of how the community operates and lives, and the community becoming an essential part of how the church operates and lives.
